The goal and objective of the single parent support program are to provide teachings and group meetings to help parents provide open and personal communications with their children (drugs, alcohol, gangs, bullying, crime, truency, careers, abuse, respect for Law Enforcement). Parental absence has caused children to be put at great risk. Due to the absence of one parent, single parents often work long hours and spend less time with their children. These children are often left vulnerable and are put at risk of the following statistics:
The goal of GAP Community Outreach is to work with the single parents to minimize and prevent these statistics from being a challenge to the youth.
To reach out to men who have fallen and have had many failures. Men who have made many bad decisions and feel trapped with no one to turn to. GAP Community Outreach is a support network designed to give these men the help they need.
Most of these men have come from homes where the father was either absent or spent little or no time with them. These men had to grow up with their mothers who were their only source of a male role model. Because of this, many of these men turn to drugs and alcohol, a life of crime, and homelessness. They commonly become uneducated and unskilled ex-offenders going through the revolving door of our justice system.
GAP Community Outreach is committed to offering support to these men and helping them find their way and place in society.
Our mission is to provide support to senior citizens, both active and inactive, who are facing challenges beyond their capacity of daily living activities. GAP Community Outreach, along with outside resources, will offer support that will benefit seniors. Our goal is to offer a faith-based and community-based resource network to help our seniors achieve their life-long dreams. We also hope to help our seniors enjoy a productive final years.
The human body is a system that wears out with long and repetitive use and quite easily with neglect and abuse. Aging is a life-cycle stage where the human capacity to think, act, relate, and learn starts to falter and deteriorate. Aging breeds illnesses such as loss of memory, organ failure & poor vision. These are critical dysfunctions that could sideline a Senior Citizen to a lonely and miserable life.
